Under the direction and tutelage of the Ukrainian Sisters of St. Joseph, this UCWLC sponsored Ukrainian preschool kindergarten meets three mornings a week in the Parish Hall. Its ‘term’ is consistent with that of the Saskatoon Catholic School System and its programme is based on nationally recognized preschool models. In addition to teaching the Ukrainian language, culture, tradition and spirituality it gives the children an opportunity to meet with others of their own age in an atmosphere of play-filled learning. A strong emphasis is also placed on the learning and development of a healthy lifestyle through the promotion of wholesome and nutritious snacking and proper physical exercise and activity.
